Right wing extremism in the mirror of the media

Journalistic contributions about right wing extremism and violence is getting more and more attention. It’s not done with headlines. Good journalism analyzes backgrounds, explaines, puts it into place and judges. Open discussion needs good information.

Price for right wing extremism in the mirror of the media: journalists get honored for great coverage

 

With the goal to honor coverage and reports in print, television, radio and the new media, about right wing violence, right wing extremism and xenophobia, the ministry for justice and equality of Saxony-Anhalt and the German national association of journalists Saxony-Anhalt offer the media price for right wing extremism in the mirror of the media.

This year, lichtempfindlich | Filmproduktion produced three movies about the award winner of the media price 2016. We were responsible for the concept, filming, editing, graphics and music.

The award winners of 2016 are:

• Justus Bender for Matthias Wyssuwa for the article „Sie kommen“, erschienen in der „Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung“ from August 15th 2015.
• Albrecht Radon for the tv segment „Das Dorf Stresow und sein lieber Neonazi“, shown in „MDR exakt“ on the 8th of Juli 2015.
• Nicolas Lindken for the news format „TenseInforms“ on the YouTube-Kanal TenseMakesSense
